Here’s my piece for The Raven Arcana, a trc zine. I’m still really happy I was able to participate in this, I got the card ‘The devil’ and it took me ages to decide on a composition but I knew I’d focus on Kavinsky and fire. Sales are closed but most artists have started posting their pieces and they’re all amazing! I can’t wait to receive my copy of the zine, and I hope that the dark parts of my piece won’t be too dark once printed!
Every day now I will be able to see the thing that has been budding at the bottom my soul for years. This blooming depression, this broken prayer, this last breath has become a battlecry. @maggie-stiefvater put words to this indescribable feeling. Thank you.

@c.q.tattoo/曹晴 from Mummy Tattoos in Beijing was amazing. She managed to bring my years worth of emotion and thought into something that I will be able to look to for comfort from this day on.
Gordon describes haunting as “that moment (of however long duration) when things are not in their assigned places, when the crack and rigging are exposed, when the people who are meant to be invisible show up…“ (Gordon, 2008, xvi).
